Interior Design Services

Undine Interiors is a full-service interior design studio serving residential and commercial clients throughout the Seattle area and beyond.

We take on projects of all sizes, from full-scale renovations and new builds to more focused updates like space planning, furniture and finish selections, and kitchen or bathroom remodels. We also love thoughtful refreshes of individual rooms when a space just needs a fresh layer of intention and care.

Whether the project is a complete transformation or a carefully considered update, each one is approached with collaboration at the center and a commitment to creating spaces that are functional, beautiful, and thoughtfully crafted.

OUR PROCESS:

  • After receiving your initial inquiry form, we’ll reach out to schedule a brief 20-minute call to learn more about your project and see if we’re the right fit. If it feels aligned, we’ll then set up a more in-depth working call to gather the specifics, including program needs, timeline, budget, and any particular questions or concerns. From there, we create a customized proposal outlining the project scope, deliverables, and anticipated timeline.

  • Once the proposal is approved, we begin with a site analysis, which includes measuring the existing space, reviewing floor plans, and taking photographs. We also gather client inspiration imagery and review the completed discovery questionnaire. From there, we move into the concept development phase. We create mood boards that capture the overall vibe, feeling, and materiality of the project, helping establish a clear vision that everyone connects to. We also begin exploring initial space plans and developing the program to ensure all needs and considerations are thoughtfully addressed.

  • Once the design vision and spatial program have been established, we move into a more developed phase of design, where initial concepts begin to take shape through tangible, scalable 2D and 3D representations. During this stage, we refine the space plans while further developing the material palette, furniture layout, and lighting approach. We also begin exploring any special design features or custom elements that will bring greater character and intention to the project.

  • This phase builds on the design direction established during schematic design and is where the details begin to come to life. With the overall concept in hand, we develop the spaces through 3D modeling, allowing us to study spatial relationships, refine furniture layouts, and explore how the design is taking shape. We begin experimenting with color, finishes, and lighting, while also refining the material palettes. Finishes, fixtures, and more specific details are thoughtfully developed during this stage. It remains a highly collaborative and iterative phase, where we present options, gather your feedback, and continue refining the design before final sign-off and the transition into documentation.

  • Once the key design decisions are approved, we develop a comprehensive documentation set to guide the contractor through bidding and construction. This drawing package typically includes fully dimensioned plans, elevations, and detailed specifications for finishes, fixtures, and equipment. The FF&E scope is documented through coded plans, product schedules, and cutsheets that clearly communicate furnishing selections and installation intent.

  • Once construction and procurement begin, we can remain involved in a number of ways. Our role may include responding to contractor questions related to design implementation, reviewing finish submittals to ensure the correct items are being used and that the design intent is maintained, and reviewing shop drawings to verify measurements and approve material submittals.

  • Depending on the scope of your project, we also offer furniture procurement services. Through this process, clients gain access to our trade-only resources, as well as support with sample approvals, order placement and tracking, inspection of goods, damage resolution, and order consolidation. Once the interior architecture is complete, we coordinate the delivery and installation of all furnishings and ensure each piece is placed according to plan.
